My Christmas photo sessions tell family stories. Stories that aren't about the decor, but about you: the way you look at each other, hug and laugh together when nobody's posing.
I'm Tami, a photographer in Barcelona and the founder of Wonderstory. This year's Christmas set is all linen and velvet, in cream and burgundy. The burgundy is no accident: my 2026 Christmas sessions are called “The Red Thread,” after the legend of the red thread of fate: an invisible bond that ties people who love each other, right from birth.
Legend has it that people who are meant to love each other are tied together by an invisible red thread. It can get tangled, but it never breaks. That's why I named my Christmas sessions after it. I'm not after a pretty Christmas-card picture. I want to hold on to the thread that ties you together, so you have it for years to come.
Your family photos should show how good it feels to be together, in the small, real moments: hands reaching for each other, knowing smiles and hugs that are your safe place.
I chose every detail with care, and a lot of it is handmade. As always, there are two sets to shoot in, and in both the decor stays in the background. The focus is on what matters most: your family.
Everything is in cream and burgundy, the classic Christmas colors, which go with whatever you wear. And the centerpiece? A Christmas tree that's anything but typical, made of fabric ruffles.
A Relaxed Christmas Outing
I run Christmas sessions from late October to 27 December. To me, a Christmas photo session should be part of the holiday fun, like any family outing, with Christmas songs playing in the background. December is all rush and chaos, but once you walk through my door, you can leave that behind.
And don't worry: you'll have your photos in time to send holiday greetings to the people you love.
A Space to Play and Move
My studio in central Barcelona is roomy, so you can move around freely. No stiff poses here: kids play and roam as they like, especially on the balcony, their favorite spot, where it really feels like Christmas.
That's how I find the most natural shots and the candid laughs that tell your story.
A Shared Experience
These Christmas sessions are for the whole family: parents, kids and pets too, because they're family. Posing isn't what matters; being together is.
You don't need to tie the red thread around your wrist. It's enough to carry it with you. That's what I want you to take home, along with beautiful photos.
