Quality is more important than quantity. A good starter portfolio has between 8 and 15 excellent and varied photos. The important thing is that each image showcases a different aspect of you and is impeccable in both technical and expressive quality.
What kind of photos should a model portfolio include?
It should be varied: headshots (one smiling close-up and one more serious), medium shots, and full-body shots. It’s key to showcase different looks (commercial, editorial) and expressions to demonstrate your versatility as a model.
What is the difference between a photo book and a model portfolio?
They are often used interchangeably. A “book” is the collection of photos that you present. A “portfolio” can also include “tear sheets” (publications). In my session, we create the base photos for your first book or to update it.

It depends on the package you choose. For example, my standard package includes 30 professionally edited final photos. You will always be able to select your favorites from a larger online gallery with the best shots from the session.
